Veelpoot has several internship positions available starting September 2026.

These positions are fully remote, open to all applicants enrolled in a higher games education in Europe.

We offer a basic fixed compensation for expenses + rev share bonus for our released commercial projects. These are full-time positions, with core hours from 11:00 – 18:00 GMT+1.

Interns will work on non-critical assignments tailored to their needs, with the goal of establishing strong portfolio pieces by the end of their work placement.

  • Quest Designers will focus on crafting new locations, characters and encounters. You are not just a writer, you are a builder of worlds.
  • You will be guided in writing and implementing their own narrative content; from dialogue trees, to in-game journals and scripting quest logic.
  • We expect our quest designers to be game & narrative designers in their own right, balancing the needs of the narrative with the desires of our players.

Requirements:

  • Professional English proficiency.
  • Writing samples; show off your best work – whether it be scripts, character biographies or gameplay videos.
  • A desire to learn new tools and proprietary software.
  • Proactivity and initiative to solve problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Good at documentation and communicating your needs to the team.

Optional:

  • Experience with 3D world and level building tools and a technical background in programming or scripting is a plus.
  • Experience with the Creation Kit (Skyrim/Fallout 4) is a major plus.

  • Level Designers will focus on concepting, blockout, iterating and setdressing their levels using modular level kits.
  • You will be guided and gain experience in creating exterior locations, dungeons, POIs and other gameplay spaces, with a strong narrative focus.
  • We expect our level designers to be world-builders, enhancing your playable spaces with environmental storytelling and a historical narrative.

Requirements:

  • A portfolio of your most recent work, detailing your level design process and thoughts.

Optional:

  • Experience with 3D modeling tools (Blender/Maya/Max) is a plus.
